By Olaf Cuadras How come every time a person mentions cremation and having a cheap funeral—which comes up more often than you’d think— I have to ask if they’ve seen The Big Lebowski and the scene where they’re burying Donnie? (” What’s your cheapest urn?” “$300?! Just because we’re bereaved doesn’t mean we’re saps!” “Is there a Ralph’s near here?” And Donnie ends up in a Maxwell House can.) The whole reference really falls flat when no one has seen the movie, let me tell you.
